Dear Mississippi Collegiate DECA Members,

As your State President, I want to extend a warm welcome to each of you as we embark on what will be an exciting and impactful year ahead! Whether you’re a returning member or new to DECA, you are part of a community that is dedicated to personal growth, professional development, and making a difference in our communities.

This year, we have several goals that I am confident will strengthen our organization and    further develop your skills and opportunities. One of our key focuses will be expanding our membership. We know that DECA’s strength lies in its members, and with more engaged members, we can enhance our programs, competitions, and network. I encourage each of you to reach out to potential members in your schools and communities to share the benefits and value of being part of DECA.

Strengthening your skills remains at the core of what DECA stands for. Through competitive events, workshops, and professional development sessions, you’ll have countless opportunities to grow your business knowledge, leadership abilities, and communication skills. Take advantage of every opportunity, and don’t be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone.

Also, this year we are excited to place greater emphasis on the Leadership Passport Program. This program is designed to help you and your chapter develop a well-rounded skill set by focusing on community engagement, leadership, and professional development. I encourage each of you to take part in this rewarding initiative at the individual and chapter level, as it offers a clear path to grow yourself and your chapter while also earning recognition for your efforts. The Leadership Passport Program provides you with a roadmap for success in DECA and beyond.

As we move forward, let’s work together to build a stronger, more connected DECA community that supports one another, celebrates success, and learns from every experience. I’m excited to see all that we will accomplish together this year!
